JAKARTA - The Investment Alert Task Force (SWI) has again found dozens of illegal online loans (pinjol) within a month.

Chairman of SWI Tongam L Tobing explained that there were 85 online loans (pinjol) and eight illegal or illegal investment entities during February 2023.

"The rampant investment offers and illegal loans continue to be of concern to SWI," said SWI Chairman Tongam L. Tobing quoting Antara, Monday, March 6.

He appealed to the public to always be vigilant and careful in choosing investments, and to ensure that they use licensed loans

From 2018 to February 2023, overall SWI has closed a total of 4,567 illegal loan platforms.

In addition, SWI also normalizes Jenfi and PT Bina Asia Propertindo (Cicill Rental) which have adjusted business activities in accordance with applicable regulations.

"SWI always tries to prevent casualties from illegal investments and loans by continuing to seek information using 'crawling' data conducted through the big data center of investment alert applications," Tongam added.

Through the data obtained, SWI will coordinate to block websites, websites or applications and submit reports to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police for prosecution.

Handling illegal investments and loans is carried out jointly by all SWI members from 12 ministries and institutions, because they are not law enforcement officers so they cannot carry out legal processes.
