JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) through the Directorate General of Construction Development carries out training and certification for Construction Workers (TKK).

The Director General of Construction Development at the Ministry of PUPR, Yudha Mediawan, said that the training and certification achievements of the construction workforce for the 2022 fiscal year (TA) were 73,918 people, with details of 18,308 regular TKK people, 9,796 IKN TKK people, and 45,814 vocational TKK people.
"This achievement exceeds the target figure set by 55,630 people or exceeding the target of 132 percent," Yudha said in his official statement, Saturday, February 18.
According to Yudha, this can be achieved because of the cost sharing with stakeholders and several activities that have been changed from offline to online.
For competency certification, said Yudha, his party has issued 411,402 construction workforce certificates until February 10, 2023, both implemented by the Construction Services Development Institute (LPJK) during the transition period and the Professional Certification Institute (LSP).
"For those issued by LPJK in the transition period from January 2020 to December 6, 2021, there were 333,319 certificates, consisting of expert competencies as many as 114,281 certificates and skilled competencies as many as 219,038 certificates," he said.
Meanwhile, for certificates issued by LSP after the transition period from December 7, 2021, to date, 78,083 certificates have been issued. "A total of 44,034 certificates for expert competence, 19,165 certificates for technician/analytic competence, and 14,884 certificates for operator competence," he explained.
Regarding the Business Entity Certificate, continued Yudha, his party has issued 360.44 Business Entity Certificates and 92.520 Certified Business Entities
"With the details carried out by LPJK during the transition period, there were 287,658 Business Entity Certificates and those implemented by the Business Entity Certification Institute (LSBU) after the transition period were 72,753 Business Entity Certificates," said Yudha.
Meanwhile, this year, the Directorate General of Construction Development of the Ministry of PUPR targets training and certification of 39,156 TKK, consisting of 6,522 regular TKK, 24,134 vocational people, and support for the preparation of construction human resources for IKN development to 8,500 TKK.
The TKK development target in FY 2023 is divided into seven regions, with details of region I in Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau Islands and Riau as many as 4,360 people. Region II in South Sumatra, Bengkulu, Bangka Belitung, Jambi, and Lampung, as many as 5,000 people,
