JAKARTA - Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto and Malaysian Prime Minister Dato Series Anwar Ibrahim agreed that Indonesia and Malaysia's relations along with the cooperation between the two countries need to be strengthened in the future.
Prabowo, who is an elected presidential candidate, before PM Anwar Ibrahim emphasized that Indonesia will in principle continue to maintain good relations with friendly countries, including Malaysia and member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
In a meeting at the office of the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Putrajaya, Malaysia, Thursday, as quoted from the official broadcast of the Ministry of Defense, Prabowo also conveyed one of his priorities in the future, strengthening Indonesia's defense.
