JAKARTA - The legislative candidate for the Electoral Regional House of Representatives (Dapil) of East Java 1 Sungkono submitted a request for Dispute on the Results of the General Election of Members of the House of Representatives and Members of the Regional House of Representatives (PHPU Pileg) to the Constitutional Court (MK).

"Pak Sungkono is an incumbent from the National Mandate Party (PAN) whose case is related to allegations of theft and inflating votes by other candidates from the internal party Pak Sungkono," said Sungkono's lawyer, Mursyid Murdiantoro, at the Constitutional Court building, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, March 22.

He explained that the recapitulation results showed that Sungkono, number one, was left behind from his party partner in number two, Arizal Tom Liwafa, with a difference of 3,175 votes.

Sungkono recorded 66,020 votes, while Arizal received 69,195 votes. However, the data in the C1 copy document that has been collected by the Sungkono legal team shows that the candidate is superior

with a difference of 838 votes through 66,347 votes, while Arizal Tom Liwafa alias Crazy Rich Surabaya received 65,509 votes.

"We have very solid data from C1, even our tabulation is very strategic to determine which TPS. This is systematic, there are 19 sub-districts. So, PAN votes were sent to Afrizal. Other candidates were raised to him. Mr. Sungkono's voice was stolen," he said.

This finding has been reported to the local Bawaslu since March 5, but did not get an answer until finally the East Java Bawaslu ordered the Surabaya Bawaslu not to continue the case.

Mursyid has also submitted a letter to the PAN legal team, but until now there has been no response. He suspects that PAN is worried that the party's seat will potentially disappear if Sungkono raises this case in the Constitutional Court.

"Our study is because of the fear of the party if we apply to the Constitutional Court, the PAN seat has the potential to disappear. Not actually. For what reason? Because this PAN in the Surabaya electoral district is number four. Even if the naughty second candidate is disqualified, PAN still gets a seat," he said.

He hopes that through this application, there will be room for testing at the Constitutional Court on the findings and evidence that has been submitted.
