BEKASI - The impact of ground movement in Legok Cariu Village in Bojongmangu District, Bekasi Regency, has expanded, resulting in main access to Jalan Raya Sukamukti-Sukabungah subsidence.

"Starting last night, the district road between Cikarang Pusat Subdistrict and Bojongmangu Subdistrict could not be accessed," said Acting Camat Bojongmangu Sapto Noviantoro in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, Wednesday, March 13, as reported by Antara.

Sapto explained that dozens of houses and worship facilities that had previously been damaged also fell deeper due to land movement, along with high rainfall and the construction of road access to the Sukabungah Toll Gate on the Jakarta-Cikampek Selatan Toll Road project by the developer of the Deltamas City area.

He added that he had made initial handling efforts by closing the road access to avoid traffic accidents, while waiting for improvements by the developer of the Kota Deltamas area.

His party has also checked the houses affected by the phenomenon of ground movement. High rainfall on Monday, March 11, caused land movement to continue until late at night, even causing several houses to collapse.

"Some residents' houses collapsed, the roads collapsed, the PDAM pipeline was cut off, one truck collapsed, and the electricity had the potential to go out because the poles were already interested," he said.

He hopes that the developer can immediately repair residents' houses and roads affected by the land shift phenomenon.

Acting Village Head Sukamukti Samid confirmed that the impact of the land disaster in his area was getting worse and so far there has been no follow-up or certainty of handling the incident.

"Currently, the assistance provided to affected residents is only in the form of logistics, instant food, and emergency tents from local governments through the Social Service and BPBD," he said.

Meanwhile, residents hope that there will be compensation for damaged houses and land due to land movement triggered by the Jakarta-Cikampek South Side Toll Road access project.

"People want to ask for real landslide handling or move quickly because the situation is getting worse and spread to other parts. Meanwhile, the company is only handling the bottom for planning," he said.

Residents affected by Arman (44) admitted that damage to residential areas was increasing every time there was rain with high intensity causing ground movement.

"The land continues to shift every time it rains heavily and the cracks get bigger. The house, which initially collapsed on the foundation, has now sunk into the ground," he said.

A number of public facilities were also damaged. The Sukamukti-Sukabungh road section, which was originally collapsed as deep as 10-20 centimeters, has now reached more than half a meter. PDAM pipes and electric poles were also affected.

"Residents have also fled, some have signed, some have gone to relatives' homes," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Emergency and Logistics at the Bekasi Regency BPBD, Dodi Supriadi, said that his party continues to monitor to find out the latest developments related to the phenomenon of ground movement which has resulted in a landslide.

"While continuing to carry out assessments, we also ensure that the needs of the affected residents are met. We continue to distribute logistical assistance," he said.
