CIANJUR - The General Election Commission (KPU) held a re-voting (PSU) at TPS 60, Main Village, South Cimahi District.

Chairman of the KPU Cimahi City Anzhar Ishal Afryand said this PSU was carried out because on the February 14, 2024 voting there were no presidential and vice presidential election ballots for residents registered on the permanent voter list (DPT) at the TPS.

"So that in its implementation it was stopped and the result of the recommendation then suggested implementing the PSU because the president and vice president's ballots were not available," said Anzhar in Cimahi, West Java, Sunday, February 25, as reported by Antara.

According to him, the absence of presidential and vice presidential ballots on February 14 was due to the officer's mistake during the ballot packing at the Cimahi City KPU logistics warehouse.

"From the packing process, there was indeed a miscalculation and so on, so more during the packaging process there was a human error like that. Indeed, within 75 days we had to prepare all logistics for a bit of trouble," he said.

Furthermore, he conveyed that at the implementation of the PSU at TPS 60, all registered DPTs submitted ballots for five types of ballots consisting of the presidential election for the vice president, DPR RI, DPD, Provincial DPRD, and City DPRD.

"For the DPT itself, 225 people are added by 2 percent, so the total available is 230 ballots in each type of ballot," he said.

In addition to holding the PSU, Anzhar continued, the KPU Cimahi City also held further voting (PSL) at Pols 05, 06 and 07 in Kelurahan Utama, Cimahi Selatan District.

"The reason for the PSL was yesterday's mixed ballot of the DPRD for Electoral District 1 to District 4 which was one of the reasons for stopping the voting process and calculating votes at Polling Stations 05, 06 and 07," he said.

He ensured that the implementation of PSU and PSL had complied with the provisions of Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning Elections by not disturbing the process of implementing the 2024 General Election.

"This re-voting and re-voting did not interfere with the implementation of the election, because the PSU and PSL were regulated by law so they were in accordance with the procedure," said Anzhar.
