Food Prices In Palembang Are High, Ganjar Reminds The Government To Stabilize Prices Immediately

PALEMBANG - Presidential Candidate number three, Ganjar Pranowo said the price of basic necessities is still high and needs to be stabilized immediately so that the people and traders do not scream.

This was conveyed by Ganjar when he visited Pasar Palimo, Palembang today, Friday, February 2. From observations at the location, the former Governor of Central Java had time to tour and chat with traders and buyers.

"It turns out that from the market to the market the complaints are still the same. The price of rice is still high, they fell the same at a price of Rp. 14 thousand to Rp. 15 thousand. Then, the sugar used to be Rp. 14 thousand to Rp. 18 thousand," said Ganjar to reporters at the location.

Ganjar said the price of this basic need should be a concern. Feels like anyone who has a responsibility day to stabilize prices, do it immediately," he said.

Furthermore, Ganjar also talked about other basic commodities such as eggs. He said, the supply from farmers to traders was smooth.

However, he mentioned the soaring price of eggs because of the difficulty of getting corn as chicken feed. "The price of eggs from them is only Rp. 22 thousand, he wants to sell Rp. 28 thousand, he can't," said the PDI-P cadre (PDIP).

So, Ganjar asked the government to immediately intervene in the main price for commodities needed by farmers. "Our title turned out to be a big problem. So when we talk about the upstream side, rice, corn, soybeans, especially corn, the taste must be supported," he said.

"If it is not supported by farmers, we can be destroyed," concluded Ganjar.
