TNI Members Become Suspects Of Rape Of Student Vocational School Surabaya

SURABAYA - The Navy Military Police (POMAL) has established a member of the TNI with the initials SH (25) as a suspect in the alleged rape of a Surabaya Vocational School student.

"The alleged perpetrator has been named a suspect," said Head of the Information Service (Kadispen) Lantamal V Surabaya, Lt. Col. Laut Agus Setiawan, Friday, January 26.

However, Agus did not explain the details regarding the article alleged against SH. Because, he said, until now the examination process of the members is still ongoing.

Pomal also examined several witnesses to complete the examination file. "Please be patient, mas, just wait," he said.

Meanwhile, the victim's attorney, Febri Kurniawan Pikulun, said that his client was still afraid every time he saw the army. Therefore, the examination was temporarily suspended by Pomal investigators.

Apart from his client, said Febri, the victim's father was also questioned and several witnesses were also planned to be questioned.

"There are still several more witnesses who are planned to be questioned by investigators," he said.

A vocational school student is suspected of being a victim of rape by a newly known person, Monday, January 22. The rape occurred when the victim was about to take scholarships from the Surabaya City Government.

The victim's father, LSA, 54, said that at that time the child who was in school was allowed to go home early to take care of taking the scholarship money for Resilient Youth from the Surabaya City Government. The victim was waiting for his friend at the Surabaya Submarine Monument (Monkasel) area.

"The plan is for my son to take savings worth Rp. 200 thousand from the Surabaya City Government's Tough Youth Scholarship program," he said.

Suddenly a man riding a Honda Scoopy came to the child and chatted. Then the person asked for help to be given instructions on the location of the nearest bank office.

Seeing the man who was confused, the victim decided to help. The victim was then carried by the man with the aim of going to the bank in question.

But on the way, the alleged perpetrator turned to the minimarket on Jalan Pasar Kembang. After leaving the minimarket, the victim continued his journey. Again, the man did not turn to the intended bank, but to a hotel.

In the hotel room, the victim experienced sexual violence. The victim had difficulty screaming because the man clamped the victim's body with his arm or tilted.
