JAMBI - Rahima, a member of the Jambi Provincial DPRD for the 2014-2019 period who was also the wife of the former Jambi Governor at that time Fachrori Umar, along with five other members of the council, became defendants in the trial of the Jambi APBD corruption case at the Jambi Corruption Court (Tipikor).

The KPK Public Prosecutor also charged the defendants with Article 11 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code as referred to in the subsidiary indictment.

The trial of the defendant Rahima and other former council members will continue next week to present witnesses at the next trial.
