AHY Ensures Readiness Of Democratic Cadres In Karawang To Face Elections

Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) ensured the readiness of his cadres in Karawang Regency, West Java, to face the 2024 General Election.

"This is my gathering as Chairman of the Democratic Party with the people of Karawang," AHY said in his political safari in Sukaluyu Village, Telukjambe Timur District, Karawang, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, December 11.

He admitted that he came to Karawang to ensure the solidity of his cadres in the Karawang area in the face of the 2024 Legislative Election and Presidential Election.

AHY advised all Democrat Party cadres to remain and continue to maintain cohesiveness following the approaching election event.

AHY targets his party to win in Karawang in the election.

The target is quite logical, because cadres and legislative candidates from the Democratic Party are very capable and have the potential to win many votes.

He gave an example, the candidate for the DPR for the West Java VII electoral district, including the Deputy Chairperson of the Democratic Party DPP, Vera Febyanthy, who is an incumbent and Cellica Nurrachadiana who is a former Karawang Regent.

"DPR candidates for the West Java VII electoral district have great capacity and potential to win the votes of the people. So, I don't think the target of two seats in the DPR RI is grandiose," said AHY.

Meanwhile, during a political safari activity to Karawang, AHY was accompanied by his wife Annisa Pohan.

Also present were Deputy Chairperson of the DPP Democratic Party, Vera Febyanthy, and Chairman of the West Java Democratic DPD Anton Sukartono along with a number of Karawang Democratic Party officials.

"Our target for Karawang is to maintain victory and add seats in the second level DPRD and pass two seats for the DPR RI," he said.
