JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo reminded all parties about the existence of ethical and politeness in expressing criticism or opinions.

Jokowi said this in response to the criticism from the Student Executive Board of the Gadjah Mada University Student Family (BEMKM UGM) against him.

"Yes, it's a democratic process, it's okay (criticizing); but, I also need to remind you, we have ethics, eastern manners," Jokowi said in Sentiong, Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Monday, December 11.

Previously, BEMKM UGM conveyed criticism directed at President Jokowi.

Criticism of Jokowi was emblazoned on a banner measuring about 4x3 meters and posted north of the UGM Roundabout, Yogyakarta, Friday (8/12).

The banner contains the red inscription "The submission of the Most Embarrassing UGM Alumnus Nomination" with Jokowi's face seemed to be divided into two sides, namely wearing a crown of kings and wearing a farmer's hat.
