15-year-old girl became a victim of sexual abuse in Bandung District, Serang Regency. The depraved act was carried out by SU (45), a coffee customer at a small shop owned by the victim's mother. SU, who is now a suspect, is listed as a resident of Kampung Baru Village, Pamarayan District, Serang Regency. He was arrested by members of the Serang Police Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) at his home, Tuesday, March 7.

Serang Police Chief AKBP Yudha Satria explained that this immoral act was committed by suspect SU in 2022, on Tuesday, September 20, at around 16.00 WIB.

"At the time of the incident the victim fell asleep in the living room chair, then the suspect SU came asking the victim's mother to make coffee, who works as a food stall trader. Seeing the opportunity, the suspect immediately entered the living room and took the victim who was sleeping into the room," said Yudha in his official statement, Thursday, March 9.

He also explained that the victim complied with the perpetrator's wishes because he was threatened.

"After venting his lust, suspect SU threatened the victim not to tell his parents or other people. Afraid of threats, the victim did not dare to tell the disgrace that befell him," said Yudha.

While crying the victim then complained to his mother after finding out that the suspect was gone.

"Hearing the narrative of the girl, the victim's parents did not accept it and immediately took the victim to Drajat Prawiranegara Serang Hospital. After undergoing treatment, the victim's family then reported it to the Serang Police," he added.

Armed with reports and witness statements as well as the results of the post-mortem, PPA Unit personnel led by Ipda Wawan Setiawan immediately moved to make arrests. "As a result of his actions, suspect SU is now languishing in a detention room and is charged with Article 82 paragraph (1) of Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning child protection with a minimum penalty of 5 years in prison," concluded Yudha.
