JAKARTA - The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) blocks the account of Rafael Alun Trisambodo and his entire family members. A total of 40 accounts were frozen with a nominal value of hundreds of billions.

"More than 40 accounts, (non-nal, red) hundreds of billions," said PPATK Head Ivan Yustiavandana to reporters, Tuesday, March 7.

Dozens of accounts are not only in the individual name. This is because there are also accounts on behalf of the company. However, it is still related to the family of Rafael Alun Trisambodo.

"We have blocked everything, since last week," he said.

Not only the account of the Rafael Alun Trisambodo family, but PPATK also blocked the account belonging to a tax consultant suspected of being a nominee or borrowed by the former official of the Directorate General of Taxes at the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu).

"Yes, there is a blocking of tax consultants," said Ivan

Ivan did not specify this tax consultant. However, this name loan is allegedly not only carried out by Rafael but also other parties.

"Allegedly as the nominee of the RAT and several other related parties," he said.

PPATK suspects this nominee is a way to launder money. Therefore, the suspicious transaction that Rafael allegedly carried out was not detected.

"We suspect that there is a money slider professional who has been acting for the benefit of the RAT," explained Ivan.

For information, Rafael is known to have a wealth of Rp56 billion. This figure was revealed based on the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) dated February 17, 2022.

The amount of wealth exceeds that of the Director General of Taxes Suryo Utomo of around Rp. 14 billion, which in fact is Rafael's superior. Rafael's assets were only narrowly lost to Finance Minister Sri Mulyani in the amount of Rp. 58 billion (the result of a reduction from total assets of Rp. 67.2 billion minus debt of Rp. 9 billion).

Rafael's wealth was in the spotlight after his son, Mario Dandy Satrio, persecuted 17-year-old David. The video of the abuse was widely circulated on social media. In addition, Mario also often exposed his wealth in the form of luxury motorbikes and became the spotlight of netizens.
