MEDAN - The North Sumatra Police Dit Samapta Quick Response Patrol Team arrested 6 students who were suspected of causing trouble with a brawl on Nguman Surbakti Street, Pasar 8, Medan. Sharp weapons, iron, and baseball bats were confiscated.

"Thanks to the alertness of the members in the field, we managed to prevent students who were suspected of having a brawl," said Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi, as quoted from a written statement, Sunday, February 5.

The six students were arrested when the PRC team found a group of teenagers in a convoy with around 40 motorbikes. This group immediately pursued.

From the interrogation, the police said that this student was part of the M3 motorcycle gang, which was suspected to be looking for opponents to fight.

"From the hands of these 6 students, evidence was secured; 2 guns, 1 baseball bat, 1 iron, 2 firecrackers, 1 stone, and 6 motorbikes," said Hadi.

The police summoned the school and the parents of the six students who were arrested. Kombes Hadi emphasized that the police will continue to patrol to ensure regional security.
