JAKARTA - The US House of Representatives committee investigating the riots on Capitol Hill January 6, 2021, recommended four criminal charges against former president Donald Trump for his central role in an effort to overturn the 2020 US Presidential Election, on Monday.

This year's hearing featured live testimony from dozens of officials, including a White House assistant and election officials who said they had been pressured by the Trump administration.
In addition, Monday's meeting for the first time featured testimony from Hope Hicks, who serves as Trump's communications director.
Hicks recalls his conversation with Trump, where the former president suggested no one would care about his legacy if he lost the election.
"The only thing that matters is to win," he recalled as he said.
The actions taken by the panel closed efforts for more than a year that included the testimonies of thousands of witnesses and millions of documents.
The panel is under pressure to complete its work before Republicans take control of the House of Representatives next year. They are expected to launch their own investigation until January 6, seeking to blame the day's events for the weakness of law enforcement.
