JAKARTA - The government has made the results of a survey regarding the satisfaction of pilgrims with Hajj services in 2022 as input to improve the quality of worship services the following year.

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that based on the results of a survey by the congregation's satisfaction index on Hajj services in 1443 Hijri/2022 AD, it increased by 4.54 points to 90.45 from 85.91 in 2019.

"This achievement is encouraging, but also a tough task for the Ministry of Religion and relevant stakeholders (employers) to be able to maintain it. Moreover, we hope that the quota for Indonesian pilgrims in 2023 will return to normal," said Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas in Jakarta, Monday 19 December.

The Minister of Religion will pay attention to input from pilgrims and BPS to improve Hajj services in the following year.

Further service quality improvements will, among other things, be carried out in the implementation of worship guidance for pilgrims.

According to him, the government plans to prepare early service so that pilgrims can get optimal worship services.

"We schedule the recruitment of worship guidance officers to be carried out early so that they can also immediately provide assistance and rituals guidance to the 2023 Hajj pilgrims," he said.

Head of BPS Margo Yuwono said that overall the 2022 Hajj services were considered very satisfying based on the results of a survey regarding the satisfaction of the pilgrims with the services provided for Indonesian pilgrims.
