He admitted that he directly observed the condition of the broken bridge, and saw firsthand the condition of the Miu River, on Tuesday 6 September.
He said the bridge that was broken in Pakuli Village was the main transportation route for Palu to Pakuli or vice versa.
"It's the only road that residents pass if they go to Pakuli or go to Kulawi from Palu City or from Dolo," he said.

He added that the repair work on the bridge would be carried out immediately if the water from the Miu River had decreased, making it easy to do work.
