JAKARTA - The North Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) has arrested two female perpetrators of violence with the initials S (16) and R (15) against minors under Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection Article 80 concerning Violence Against Children. Even so, the two perpetrators were not arrested because the sentence was under 3 years. However, they are still under investigation. "Because the penalty is under three years. But the process will continue," said North Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Guruh Arif Darmawan to reporters, Tuesday, December 28. The case of violence against children occurred in the Cilincing area, North Jakarta, last Saturday, December 4. Now the two perpetrators have been detained by the North Jakarta Metro Police PPA Unit. "We have processed everything. We have arrested the perpetrators. They are both friends," he said.

The motive was that the perpetrator was offended by the words of the 12-year-old victim. The victim accused the two perpetrators of not being a virgin. "That's because the problem is being said to be not a virgin. Yes, it's usually a reproach, in the end the culprit is beaten," he said. The case of violence was previously viral on social media which was uploaded to Instagram accounts @lensa_berita_jakarta and @putarancakung on Monday, December 27. In the video footage, a child appears to be sitting with his head down because he is depressed when he is cursed by a teenage woman. Not only that, the victim also experienced physical violence such as being hit, kicked, and grabbed. The incident occurred in a room in the Cilincing area, North Jakarta. From the recording, the perpetrator seemed angry with the victim because he was accused of not being a virgin.
