JAKARTA - Tesla has officially expanded its portfolio in China with the launch of the Model 3+, also known as the rear-wheel-drive Long Range variant in the country.
According to Carnewschina on Tuesday, August 12, the Model 3+ is Tesla's longest-range model to date. According to data shared, it can travel up to 830 km on a single charge.
This new version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds, compared to 6.1 seconds for the standard rear-wheel-drive Model 3.
Specifically, the Model 3+ uses a 78.4 kWh ternary NMC battery supplied by LG. The car is priced starting at 269,500 yuan, or around IDR 610 million.
Tesla has also updated the all-wheel-drive Model 3 Performance variant. Its range now reaches 647 km, up from 623 km calculated by CTC. The starting price remains at 339,500 yuan, or around IDR 769 million.
The car is powered by a 225 kW rear-mounted electric motor, producing 302 hp, a slight increase over the standard rear-wheel drive Model 3. Its top speed is listed at 200 km/h.
