Capcom has announced that its new game, Onmusha: Way of the Sword will launch for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC (Steam) in 2026.

This game is a continuation of his first game released in 2001. The new game will tell the story of a young soldier in a widespread wartime in Japan's feudal. After gaining Oni's power, he became Onimusha and fought against the evil Genma who tried to rule the world.

Here, you as a player have to fight through bloodshed in intense swordplay, exploring Japan's capital, Kyoto, which is filled with hatred, shrouded in mystery, danger, and intrigue.

' FIGHT against monsters from the lower world known as Genma in the dark fantasy story. Follow the story of a samurai holding Oni's Sarong, a mystical artifact that gives its owner the power to kill Genma,' the developer wrote in his game caption.

With figures and events inspired by real history poured into a frightening fantasy setting, the fate of the characters will describe a unique story.

Based on that success, Capcom said that this series has given birth to many hit titles and even original Netflix animations. To date, the Onimusha series has sold more than 8.7 million units worldwide.
