Komdigi Encourages The Establishment Of A CSIRT Team In All Agencies For Cyber Threat Mitigation

JAKARTA - Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid emphasized that cybersecurity is the main foundation to ensure the sustainability of digital transformation in Indonesia.

Mengingat hal tersebut, Meutya menyampaikan kalau Kementerian Komdigi mendorong pembentukan Tim Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) di setiap instansi pemerintah.

"We are designing National Digital Firewall and encouraging the formation of the CSIRT Team (Computer Security Incident Response Team) in every government agency to mitigate cyber threats," Meutya said in an official broadcast quoted on Saturday, December 14.

In addition, in terms of human resources, Meutya admitted that Komdigi is also targeting the preparation of 9 million digital talents through a certification-based training program designed to meet industrial needs.

"This program does not only cover certification but also strengthens the relationship between participants and the world of work, ensuring a real impact on people's welfare," explained the Minister of Communication and Industry.

Meanwhile, in the infrastructure sector, the Ministry of Communication and Industry will accelerate the equitable distribution of internet access through the application of Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) in areas that have not been reached by optical cables.

This step is intended to support education, special internet services at affordable costs, especially in remote areas that do not yet have a stable connection.

Then, a variety of parts of the sustainability strategy, the Ministry of Komdigi utilizes green financing to build a green energy-based data center.

"We are also reviewing the implementation of carbon pricing and fiscal incentives to increase Indonesia's competitiveness in Southeast Asia," he said.
