JAKARTA - Microsoft launched a series of new features, upgrades, and fixes based on feedback for Photo apps on Windows 11. But not yet available in general, the feature has just started rolling out to users on Windows Insiders on Canary and Dev Channel.

Apparently, one of the most requested features for the Photo app is the slide view option. With Slide View Mode, users can revive their memories and view photos in a slide show format, complete with transition, animation, and 25 original music soundtracks to choose from.

The user only needs to click on one of the photos to start the slide show or select some photos to watch together.

Microsoft also brought the timeline scroll blades back to the gallery view of All Photos, OneDrive, and Photos of iCloud grouping photos by year and month.

With a scroll bar, users can easily jump to any time point and find the photo they want. Scroll timeline to find the photos users need.

In addition, the company has also launched the Spot Fix feature to remove unwanted spots or areas in the photo. This feature, actually, has a more professional photo editing application.

Furthermore, Microsoft is also embedding the Autocorrect feature available for use without having to install add-on 93MB.

When importing photos from external devices, users can now also withdraw and release to select the desired photo and use a quick switch to confirm the selected file.

However, the hidden iCloud photo will no longer be displayed in the gallery. Other changes also include fixing the problem when the audio on the video file is muted by default.

The app will now play audio by default and maintain user settings across videos.

Copying and attaching photos from the Photo application to Outlook and Teams now inserts a row of images by default, not adding attachments.

The Redmond giant, USA also provides quick shortcuts to select photos. Users can hold the Shift button when selecting photos in the gallery to select multiple photos in a row, then when pressing the CTRL button they will select some photos that are not sequential.

To get this new feature and fix, users need to update the Photo application to version 2023,1050,2013.0 or even higher, as quoted from Microsoft's official website, Friday, May 5.
