Potential Loss Of Power, GM Recalls GMC Hummer EV And Cadillac Lyriq

General Motors (GM) announced a recall on two electric vehicles, GMC Hummer EV and Cadillac Lyriq.

The two latest electric cars were affected by the recall because they have the potential to lose power caused by battery connection problems.

Quoted from Inside EVs, Monday, June 5, GM recall GMC Hummer 2022 and the Cadillac Lyriq 2023 electric SUV. The company said there may be problems with various EV-high-voltage battery pack connections.

The US Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA) considers that the connection is placed incorrectly, which could cause power loss and power outages.

However, GM knows that only five EV vehicles were affected in this withdrawal. The GM dealers will replace the high-voltage battery pack in vehicles that are affected for free.

The company will send notices to vehicle owners on July 10. However, it is likely to be notified sooner.

Of course, the withdrawal of electric vehicles adds to concerns over the safety of electric cars. However, it should also be noted that this problem could arise due to the latest or latest technological adjustments to each new car.
