JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has budgeted Rp604 billion for the cash social assistance (BTS) program for residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said the cash distribution would be carried out tomorrow.

"The transfer from the DKI provincial government will be carried out tomorrow through the beneficiary's account so that they can immediately receive it in their respective accounts," he said, at Monas, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Sunday, July 18.

Anies explained that based on data from the DKI Provincial Government, there were 1,844,833 people who were included in the list of BST recipients. Around 1 million residents will get it from the DKI Provincial Government, while around 837 thousand others will get it from the Central Government through the Ministry of Social Affairs.

The former Minister of Education and Culture also explained that later there would be assistance distributed by Polda Metro Jaya and Kodam Jaya.

The second scheme is that the distribution is carried out by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government using the allocation of funds from the APBD. In this scheme, cash assistance will be channeled through a Bank DKI account in the amount of IDR 300 thousand per month.

As of Sunday, July 18, at 3:32 p.m., there were 1,007,379 family cards (KK) that had been registered as BST recipients of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
