JAKARTA - The COVID-19 Task Force issued a circular to limit community activities during the Eid al-Adha holiday which will be valid from July 18-25. This arrangement includes the elimination of worship activities in areas that carry out Emergency PPKM.

The COVID-19 Handling Task Force has issued a Task Force Circular Number 15 of 2021 concerning Restrictions on Community Activities During the 1442 Hijri Eid Al-Fitr Holiday during the COVID-19 Pandemic Period which will take effect on July 18-25.

"Based on the results of a limited coordination meeting at the ministerial and local government levels as well as elements of the Indonesian National Police who continue to monitor the development of cases and conditions in the field, it was decided to issue a COVID-19 Task Force circular as an umbrella policy for limiting community activities during the Idul Adha 1442 H holiday," Spokesman for the COVID-19 Task Force, Wiku Adisasmito, said in a virtual press conference quoted by Antara, Saturday, July 17.

Some of the policy scopes include restrictions on community mobility activities with all people traveling outside the area being temporarily restricted to only excluding essential sector workers and people with urgent needs.

In addition, travelers aged less than 18 years are temporarily limited and all users of transportation modes are required to attach requirements for travel as required during Emergency PPKM.

Wiku said that Eid al-Adha worship activities will be eliminated and optimized for worship at home, applicable to areas that carry out Emergency PPKM, Tightened Micro PPKM and non-Emergency PPKM areas with red and orange zone status.

"It was removed beforehand and carried out at their respective residences or homes," said Wiku.

Meanwhile, for other areas, worship is carried out with a maximum capacity of 30 percent.

In addition, Wiku emphasized that the tradition of gathering was carried out virtually to reduce transmission.

"Village and kelurahan posts that have been formed will function to enforce the appeal in the field with applicable sanctions," he said.

For activities at tourist attractions, all tourist attractions in Java and Bali and the PPKM Mikro Tightened area will be temporarily closed. Meanwhile, non-PPKM Emergency and other non-PPKM Micro Tightened areas are limited to a maximum of 25 percent.
