Release of the case of theft of tens of millions of gold jewelry in Klungkung Bali (DOK Police)

KLUNGKUNG - The Klungkung Police Team, Bali, arrested two perpetrators of theft named I Wayan Agus Saputra (26) and I Gede Mindra (32). The two of them stole tens of millions of jewelry.

"The modus operandi was that the perpetrator entered the victim's yard by jumping over the wall. Then, he entered the house and took valuables in the form of gold jewelry," said Klungkung Police Chief AKBP I Made Dhanuardana, Thursday, July 15.

The theft occurred on Jalan Srikandi IV, Semarapura Kelod Kangin Village, Klungkung Regency, Bali, on Monday, June 21.

At that time, the victim named Cok Gde Agung Sandiadnyana who is a Civil Servant (PNS) with his wife and two children was going to go and stay at his parents' house.

Before leaving, the victim's wife saw that her jewelry was stored in a small box above the refrigerator.

But on June 25 when he returned home, the victim's wife was shocked that her jewelry was missing. The missing jewelry is 1 ball 7 necklace weighing about 17 grams, code LM, 1 gold smile bracelet with a weight of about 1.5 grams.

There is also a pair of purple gold subeng eyes weighing about 7 grams, 1 motif necklace weighing 1 gram, 1 child's maroon eye ring weighing 2 grams, 1 z motif necklace weighing about 2 grams.

Then, 1 set of boxed subeng, gingham pendant, gingham ring, complete weighing 10 grams, 1 smile gold necklace weighing about 3 grams, 1 pair of earrings weighing about 0.9 grams, 1 Singapore ring weighing about 5,300 grams.

“The victim suffered a loss of approximately Rp. 30 million. In connection with the incident, the reporter reported it to the Klungkung Police for further handling," said Dhanuardana.

Police conducted an investigation and arrested two of the perpetrators. "The two perpetrators (recidivists) have committed theft in Sukawati, Gianyar," he said.

"Now the perpetrators and evidence are secured at the Klungkung Police. Based on the results of the development of the perpetrators, the stolen gold jewelry was sold in Denpasar, assisted by the perpetrator (Gede Mindra) and the proceeds from the sale were used for gambling," continued Dhanuardana.
