Visits To Overseas, Prabowo Is Ready To Be Contacted To Discuss Christmas And New Year's Preparations

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto is optimistic that the government's preparations for the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holidays are ripe.

The Head of State said the Vice President and members of the Red and White Cabinet had coordinated to ensure that the preparations were completed optimally.

"I have coordinated and gave instructions to the entire cabinet, to the vice president and preparations for Christmas and New Year are ripe and I think everything will go smoothly," said the President at Halim Perdanakusama Air Force Base, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 17, as reported by Antara.

While leaving Indonesia for a state trip (LN) on December 17, 2024, the President stated that he was willing to be contacted by members of his cabinet if it was deemed that there was an important need that had to be resolved immediately.

Prabowo ensured that communication could be done by utilizing various means of communication so that the necessary steps could be taken immediately even though the distance was separated.

"With good means of communication at any time I can be contacted so that if there is an important decision, all parties can consult directly with me. I think that's what I want to convey," said Prabowo.

Regarding preparations for the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holidays, previously the President had held a limited meeting (ratas) at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Monday, December 16.

In his directive, President Prabowo emphasized the importance of creating a safe and comfortable atmosphere so that people can celebrate the moment with great kindness and joy.

"I want to get the latest reports from the security sector as well as the transportation sector, then reports on fuel supply, food availability, and other basic commodities, as well as labor, and the tourism sector," said President Prabowo when opening the meeting.

The Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) after attending the agenda of a limited Christmas and New Year's Preparation meeting at the Presidential Office, Jakarta, Monday afternoon explained that the President instructed all relevant ministries and stakeholders to ensure smooth, safety and security for more than 110 million people during the 2025 Christmas and New Year celebrations.

"Mr. President Prabowo conveyed and emphasized to the ministries and stakeholders who are responsible for the issue of smoothness, safety and security of Nataru, especially convincing that our brothers and sisters who celebrate this Christmas can worship well and feel safe and comfortable," he said.
