The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Is Optimistic That Yasonna Laoly Will Be Present At The Examination Regarding The Harun Masiku Case On Wednesday

"Regarding YSL's brother, the person concerned himself asked that the examination be scheduled for Wednesday. Of course, he should be present at the schedule he requested," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika, Tuesday, December 17.

When asked about Yasonna's confirmation of Yasonna's presence, Tessa assessed that there was no need for additional confirmation because the schedule was a direct request from the person concerned.

"So there is no need for confirmation anymore, we'll just have to wait for Wednesday, December 18, 2024," he said.

Tessa declined to comment on the KPK's move if Yasonna was not present again. According to him, it is still too early to discuss this matter.

"In my opinion, we don't have to assume too far. On Wednesday, friends can ask me the same question if the person concerned is not present," said Tessa.

Tessa explained that the examination of Yasonna was originally scheduled for today at 10.00 WIB. However, Yasonna submitted a rescheduling application because there was another previously scheduled agenda.

"Yang bersangkutan menyampaikan pemberitahuan kepada penyidik bahwa ia tidak bisa hadir karena ada agenda lain," ujarnya.

Pemanggilan Yasonna terkait dengan penyidikan dugaan korupsi yang melibatkan tersangka KPK yang masih buron, yakni Harun Masiku.

"This summons is related to the appointment of Harun Masiku as a member of the elected DPR RI for the 2019-2024 period which was carried out together with Saiful Bahri. The basis for this summons is an investigation warrant," explained Tessa.

To note, Harun Masiku was named a suspect by the KPK in the alleged case of giving gifts or promises to state officials regarding the determination of candidates for members of the DPR RI for the 2019-2024 period at the General Election Commission (KPU) RI.

However, since being named a suspect, Harun Masiku has always been absent from the summons of KPK investigators until he was finally included in the wanted list (DPO) on January 17, 2020.

The KPK has also published a list of the latest people searches with the latest photos of Harun Masiku.

"The latest DPO features four new photos of Harun with the characteristics of a height of about 172 cm, looking in the eyes, thinness, annoying sounds, and Toraja or Bugis accents," said Tessa.

Tessa appealed to the public who knew about Harun Masiku's whereabouts to immediately report to the authorities or submit information to the KPK office.

"To be arrested and handed over to the Corruption Eradication Commission Office," said Tessa.
