Deputy Head of the Haji Dahnil Organizing Agency (BP) Anzar Simanjuntak conveyed President Prabowo's message never to mess with the management of Hajj.

"Don't mess with the management of the hajj which is related to the big ideals of Muslims. Don't play games. The first step is transparency, accountability must be an important character for Indonesian pilgrimage," Dahnil said as quoted by ANTARA Monday, December 16.

Dahnil said the key to the success of the hajj in the future is Tri Sukses Perhajian. The first is the success of the ritual, the second is the success of the economy, and the third is the success of civilization and its stability.

He said that during the visit activities in six Hajj dormitories, he had found the same problem.

Therefore, BP Haji was formed as a concern for the government in facilitating the management of Hajj in Indonesia and is a ministry-level agency.

"The Hajj Organizing Agency is a ministry-level agency led by the head of the Hajj affairs agency or minister along with the deputy head of the agency at the level of deputy minister for Hajj affairs," said Dahnil.

He explained that the implementation of the Hajj in 2025 is in the transition period from the Ministry of Religion to BP Hajj. Starting in 2026, the process of organizing the Hajj is fully handled by BP Haji.

"The 2026 Hajj has fully become the authority and is organized by the Hajj Organizing Body," said Dahnil.

Dahnil said that currently the new BP Haji consists of four echelons I and three deputies at echelon I level, namely the Deputy for Domestic Hajj, Deputy for Foreign Hajj, there are Foreign and Domestic Hajj Affairs, as well as Deputy for Monitoring and Evaluation of Hajj.

In addition, at BP Haji there are 12 echelons II and 20 more echelon III and more than 10 echelons IV, the rest are functional organizational structures while during the transition period.

"There is the Head of Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion and there is the Head of Regional Affairs for Hajj Affairs. During this transition period, of course, we need a lot of input, suggestions from Hajj stakeholders, including the process of revising the law which is currently ongoing and will take place related to the form of the institutional management of Hajj in the future," he said.
