JAKARTA - State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Minister Erick Thohir has implemented his policy on the efficiency of the company's children and grandchildren under his leadership. There are about 51 children and grandchildren of the state-owned company that will be closed. The goal is that state-owned companies focus on running their core business.
Erick said that plate companies must do good corporate and governance (GCG), focus on core business and sustainable efficiency. This is done, so that the company's children and grandchildren continue to be healthy.
Of the 51 children and grandchildren of BUMN that were cut, they came from three companies, namely PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia (Persero) Tbk.
Garuda Indonesia cut the number of children and grandchildren of 6 companies. Meanwhile, at Pertamina there are 25 children and grandchildren of businesses that have been closed. Meanwhile, in Telkom there are 20 business children and grandchildren.
Erick said, currently, BUMN has 27 company clusters. Because of this, he wanted to make adjustments to the supply chain and business chain .
"We will try efficiency up to 14. So each Deputy Minister will hold 7 to 8, so cut 50 percent," said Erick, in a video conference with journalists, in Jakarta, Friday, April 3.
For information, one of the grandchildren of a state-owned company that Erick cut was PT Garuda Tauberes Indonesia.
