Coordinating Minister For Political, Legal And Security Affairs Ensures National Recapitulation Completes Maximum March 20

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Hadi Tjahjanto ensured that the results of the national recapitulation would be completed on time, namely on March 20.

"It is still on time, in accordance with the 35-day law after the voting, we will announce it," said Hadi when met at the office of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, Thursday, March 14, which was confiscated by Antara.

The General Elections Commission (KPU) itself targets the results of the national recapitulation to be completed on Monday, March 18. Welcoming this, Hadi ensured that he would monitor the recapitulation process so that it would be completed on time.

Regarding the potential for demonstrations to reject the election results that may occur before or after the recapitulation, Hadi assessed that the wave has not been seen until now.

However, this did not relax his party to continue to supervise and guard it in order to create a conducive situation in the community.

"Yes, we are still looking at normal (mass situation)," he said.

Previously, RI KPU member August Mellaz said there was a possibility that the recapitulation process would be completed on Monday, March 18.

"As for the target, we were even finished before. Is it possible that it will be March 18th," said Mellaz at the Indonesian KPU Office, Jakarta, Wednesday, May 13.

He explained that the KPU also monitors the recapitulation process at the sub-district to the province level. However, according to him, the calculation process is about to be completed.

"We are also monitoring those below, yes, at the ongoing provincial level. But relatively now the final section has been completed," he said.

Based on the national recapitulation as of March 9-13, the Indonesian KPU has ratified the vote acquisition for the presidential election at eighteen provinces at the national level; namely the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Gorontalo, Central Kalimantan, Bali, Lampung, Bangka Belitung, West Kalimantan, South Sumatra, Central Java, DKI Jakarta, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, Riau Islands, East Nusa Tenggara, Banten, North Kalimantan, East Java and Southeast Sulawesi.

The recapitulation process for the vote acquisition tally leaves 19 more provinces out of 38 provinces that have been calculated. According to KPU Regulation Number 3 of 2022, the recapitulation of the 2024 General Election is scheduled to take place from February 15 to March 20, 2024.

Mellaz explained that if the recapitulation of the vote acquisition has been completed at the provincial level, they will usually give a pause of one to two days to prepare several things before finally shifting to the Indonesian KPU.

The 2024 election includes the presidential and vice presidential elections, members of the DPR RI, members of the DPD RI, members of the provincial DPRD and members of the district/city DPRD, with a final list of voters (DPT) at the national level as many as 204,807,222 voters.

For the presidential and vice presidential elections, three couples, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md number 3.

Then in the legislative elections, 18 national political parties participated, namely (according to the serial number) of the National Awakening Party (PKB), Gerindra Party, PDI-P, Golkar Party, NasDem Party, Labor Party, and the Indonesian Gelora Party.

Next, Partai Keadilan Sejahtera (PKS), Partai Kebangkitan Nusantara (PKN), Partai Hanura, Partai Garuda, Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN), Partai Bulan Bintang (PBB), Partai Demokrat, Partai Solidaritas Indonesia (PSI), Partai Perindo, Partai Persatuan Pembangunan (PPP), and Partai Ummat.

In addition, there are six local political parties as participants, namely the Aceh Nanggroe Party, the Atjeh Beusaboh Tha'at and Taqwa Generation Party, the Aceh Darul Party, the Aceh Aceh Party, the Aceh Prosperous Justice Party, and the Acehnese People's Independent Solidity Party.
