Megawati Calls The Meeting With The Chairman Of PAN Politically Already Many Similarities

Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Megawati Soekarnoputri said the closed meeting with the Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN) Zulkifli Hasan discussed the common vision and mission of the two parties on various issues. The fifth President of the Republic of Indonesia said that although it was not yet legal to establish political cooperation, the discussion between the two parties found a mutual agreement. "Because this is the first visit, even though there are already political principles that, if you look at the similarities, are very, very similar. So, only later there will be an agreement because of course there will be a process problem, technical issues," Megawati said at a press conference after a closed meeting at the PDIP DPP Office, Jalan Diponegoro, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Friday, June 2. At PDIP, continued Megawati, there were two teams, namely the Ganjar Pranowo Winning Team led by Puan Maharani and the Volunteer Coordination Team for the Victory of the PDI-P presidential election chaired by Ahmad Basarah. Megawati ordered Puan to establish communication as well as visit the PAN DPP Office to follow up on this first meeting. "So, later there will be days from us to visit the PAN DPP," said Megawati. The chairman of the Steering Committee of the Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) also stated that in principle he wanted to win PDIP in the election as a mandate of the Party Congress. "As a cadre and party officials, I have the task of winning this election," said Megawati. On the other hand, in the context of Pancasila, Megawati continued, she is also open to collaborating with as many political parties as possible on a solid basis. "Political principles must be the same that we must comply with the state ideology, namely Pancasila, so of course this is the kind of thing that can link us as fellow citizens of the nation, and also from our national side," said Megawati. The daughter of the Proclaimer of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno also reminded the Indonesian state system not to be parliamentary, but to be presidential. Megawati also wants all political parties in collaboration with the PDIP to follow the rules of the system. "If you ask again, what is the purpose? The goal, yes, for that, we know that I always talk about the ideology of Pancasila, then there is the 1945 Constitution, then the way to implement it is to work together, it is actually our right as a nation," said Megawati.
