Duri Jesus' Crown Relik Finally Returns To Dame's Notre

JAKARTA - The Crown Relik of Duri Jesus finally returned to Notre Dame, the cathedral church in Paris, France. The Crown returned after being moved due to a fire at Notre Dame five years ago.

Quoting from the BBC, on Sunday, December 15, 2024, the Crown of Duri Jesus was brought back to Notre Dame in a ceremony supervised by the Archbishop of Paris, Laurent Ulrich. The crown consists of a circle of logs wrapped in crystal and gold tubes.

The Crown of Duri Jesus was originally obtained by King Louis IX of France in Diplomas at 1239. The Crown was raised at 135 thousand litres, nearly half of France's annual expenditure at that time.

Initially the crown was kept in Sainte-Chapelle, which was later moved to Notre Dame in 1806. The Crown remained in Notre Dame until the fire broke out.

At the time of the fire, it was discovered that firefighters and local police formed a human chain to save the crown relic. The rescue was also carried out for other historic artifacts inside the cathedral.

The fire destroyed the interior of Notre Dame made of wood and the top of the tower. Then the cathedral underwent major renovations, which made the Crown Relik of Jesus temporarily moved to the Louvre Museum.

Meanwhile, after the renovation was complete, Notre Dame was also reported to have returned to receive tourist visits. The Duri Jesus Crown Relik will also be exhibited to the public starting January 10, 2025.
