107 Central Jakarta Residents Died During COVID-19 Isoman, Walkot Dhany Sukma: During Isolation Please Report To RT/RW

JAKARTA - Until now, at least 107 residents of Central Jakarta died during self-isolation (isoman) due to exposure to COVID-19.

"Based on the latest data, there are 107 residents of Central Jakarta who died during isomanism. On average, those who died were generally elderly (elderly)," said Central Jakarta Mayor Dhany Sukma in response to the press after reviewing vaccination activities in Johar Baru, Central Jakarta, Antara , Saturday, July 24.

Dhany explained that based on the latest data, there were 107 requests for burial of bodies with health protocols. Therefore, he appealed to residents to anticipate by conveying information openly.

When undergoing isolation, residents must report their condition to the local RT or RW.

"For example, someone in that environment is affected, please report it to the post. Later (officers) of the post will come to check, monitor their health, then do PCR, after that they can be traced," said Dhany.

If residents self-isolate without reporting to the local RT/RW, then, he continued, it is feared that they will experience increasingly severe symptoms and cases of death cannot be anticipated.

"What we are doing is openness and the role of RT, RW and dasawisma. If there are residents who are sick at home, report them. We also urge the residents of the house to provide information to the RT to be submitted to the post," he said.
