Many Bekasi Residents Complained That Social Assistance Was Cut Cash, Deputy Mayor Asked To Report To Police
BEKASI - Bekasi Deputy Mayor Tri Adhianto received many complaints from residents regarding the receipt of cash social assistance. Some have had their funds cut. Some even did not arrive even though they were registered as recipients.
"There have been so many reports to me regarding the cutting of Cash Social Assistance in the field, it doesn't even reach people who (who) should need it," Tri Adhianto tweeted via his Twitter account @mas_triadhianto, Friday, July 23.
He admitted that he did not know the details of this report. But if the excuse used for the cutting is because someone didn't get it, it's still not allowed.
"The RT or RW management should collect data and report it to the Bekasi City Social Service. Those who do not receive BST are because their names are not registered in the Bekasi City Social Service DTKS," he continued.
"On the contrary, if there are residents who should not be entitled to social assistance, the data should also be reported so that it can be updated. The Bekasi City Government facilitates the data of residents who should and should not receive social assistance to the Ministry of Social Affairs," said Tri Adhianto.
Every village has a COVID-19 Alert Task Force. He hopes that the Task Force will play a major role in ensuring the distribution of social assistance is evenly distributed, on target and in accordance with the amount given by the government.
Tri Adhianto was quoted by Djawanews as saying that the incident of cutting cash assistance was a violation of the law. He asked residents to immediately report to the police.
