Mataram City Government Prepares Additional 3 COVID-19 Emergency Hospitals
MATARAM - The Mataram City Government, West Nusa Tenggara, has prepared three COVID-19 emergency hospitals (RSD) to accommodate additional new COVID-19 patients with mild and moderate symptoms.
"The additional COVID-19 Hospitals that we have prepared include the BP-PAUD Building on Jalan Gajahmada and the Education Quality Assurance Institution (LPMP) building on Jalan Panjitilar Negara", said Head of the Communication and Information Office (Dikominfo) Mataram City, I Nyoman Swandiasa, quoted by Antara, Thursday, July 22.
According to him, the preparation of the three COVID-19 hospitals is to anticipate that the occupancy of beds in hospitals (BOR) remains at 50 percent in 16 hospitals throughout the city of Mataram with a total of 849 isolation beds.
"Currently, the use of BOR has reached 50.88 percent, with 432 patients being treated, so there are still 415 empty beds", he said.
However, he continued, Mataram City as the epicenter of the mobilization of people and having a referral hospital was deemed necessary to prepare additional scenarios for the COVID-19 Hospital building so that patients could be handled optimally.
Moreover, based on data from the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) COVID-19 alert team, Wednesday, July 21, it was stated that 38 additional COVID-19 patients for Mataram City and 25 COVID-19 patients were declared cured so that 797 patients were still being treated, a total of 4.165 recovered and 171 died.
"Although yesterday there was a decrease in the number of new positive COVID-19 patients, we don't know in the future, because the findings of new positive cases are very dynamic, so we need to be vigilant", he said.
