Anticipating Full Treatment Rooms, South Sumatra OKU Regency Government Prepares Baturaja Hotel To Be A Place For Isolation Of COVID Patients
SUMSEL - The Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency Government in South Sumatra Province (Sumsel) has made Baturaja Hotel a place of isolation for COVID-19 patients.
Secretary of the Task Force for Handling COVID-19 Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Amzar Kristopa said the local government had prepared isolation facilities at the Baturaja Hotel to deal with the possibility of full hospital rooms due to the surge in cases of COVID-19 transmission.
"Currently, OKU only has three hospitals, namely Ibnu Sutowo Baturaja Hospital, Antonio Hospital, and DKT Hospital which are places of isolation for patients," he said in Baturaja, Antara, Thursday, July 22.
He explained that the Baturaja Hotel, which is located in the center of Baturaja City, has adequate facilities and infrastructure to be an isolation facility for COVID-19 patients.
"Currently there are 10 air-conditioned rooms prepared for isolation, complete with bed, wardrobe and bathroom facilities for patients," he said.
The district government, according to him, also prepared medical equipment and alerted medical officers to support the service of COVID-19 patients at the Baturaja Hotel.
According to him, as of July 17, 2021, the number of residents who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 in OKU Regency was 490 people, with details of 389 people having recovered, 49 people dying, and 52 people still undergoing treatment.
