Efficacy Of Black Tea For Diabetics

JAKARTA - Did you know that in people who consume twice as much black tea as usual, there are 25% fewer cases of diabetes? That's the result of a study by Data Mining International, which examined the level of black tea consumption in 42 countries around the world, then compared it with the number of respiratory, infectious, cardiovascular, cancer and diabetes diseases found in each country.

The data is taken from the World Tea Consumption Survey by Euromonitor and the World Health Survey by WHO. The only correlation found was black tea consumption among the population and the prevalence of diabetes.

Professor Genevieve Berger, Unilever's Chief Research & Development Officer, who was a co-partner in the study said, "This study further strengthens the evidence that black tea has healthful properties. Further research is still needed to see if there is a causal relationship between the two, but the fact that in communities that drink a lot of black tea there are fewer diabetics is an interesting finding." So what are you waiting for? Let's switch to healthy drinks by replacing regular tea with black tea.
