Karaoke At Mataram Star Hotels Violates PPKM, Management To LC Called Police

MATARAM - The West Nusa Tenggara Police asked for clarification from the management of one of the karaoke places suspected of committing violations during the period of implementing PPKM in Mataram City.

The Director of General Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimum) of the West Nusa Tenggara Police, Kombes Hari Brata, explained that the request for clarification was aimed at investigating the Health Quarantine Law related to its activities when Mataram City implemented emergency PPKM.

"So this clarification is part of the investigation stage," Hari said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 21.

The management of the entertainment venues who were asked for clarification were the manager with the initials WP, the employee with the initials RI, and the cashier with the initials KS. A number of song guides (LC/ladies companion) who were caught by officers while serving customers in the karaoke room were also questioned.

Evidence in the form of notes from customers' orders as well as entry data at the cashier were also examined.

"Later on from this clarification, we will hold it first to determine the status of the investigation," said Kombes Hari.

The disclosure of this case took place last weekend. This karaoke entertainment venue is located in one of the five-star hotels in Mataram City.

The mode of this entertainment venue running its business in the middle of Mataram City implementing emergency PPKM is by closing the front door which is directly opposite the highway.

However, the karaoke management accepts its customers by opening the back door in the hotel parking area.
