PPKM Extended, Kasatpol PP Asks For No Viral Incidents On Social Media

JAKARTA - All members of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) are asked to prioritize a polite and humane attitude in the Emergency PPKM patrol.

This was conveyed by the Head of the Civil Service Police Unit (Kasatpol PP) of Mataram City, Irwan Rahadi in response to several incidents in a number of areas.

"We don't want incidents between officers and the public that are viral on social media to happen in Mataram. Therefore, in this case, synergy between officers and the community is needed," he told reporters in Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara Province, reported by Antara, Wednesday, July 21. .

He admitted that during the activities of controlling the discipline of prokes and PPKM the people of Mataram City were relatively cooperative with the applicable rules and regulations.

Even if there was such a case in the Pagesangan area, he said, the officers would still give good directions because everyone did not want to be in the current condition.

"But through PPKM activities, we hope to be able to fight together to get out of the COVID-19 pandemic and be able to return to living a normal life," he said.

While alluding to patrol activities during the PPKM extension period until July 25, 2021, Irwan said patrols would continue as usual.

However, currently the city government has made concessions for street vendors (PKL) to operate until 21.00 WITA, and can open earlier.

"Alhamdulillah, so far, street vendors and cooperative business actors have followed the existing rules. If someone violates it, of course we will give warnings, even sanctions according to existing regulations," he said.
