ASN In Cianjur Is Fined Rp. 100 Thousand For Holding A Reception During An Emergency PPKM

CIANJUR - The Cianjur District Court, West Java, handed down a guilty verdict against the defendant Asep Hidayat, an ASN education worker who held his son's wedding reception during an emergency PPKM in Cibeber District. This ASN must pay a fine of Rp. 100,000.

Public Relations of the Cianjur District Court, Donovan Akbar, said that the defendant violated the rules for implementing restrictions on emergency Community Activities (PPKM) by not implementing strict health protocols when holding a reception which was attended by many people, so he was sentenced to pay IDR 100,000 or confinement for 3 days.

"The defendant was found guilty of having held a reception without heeding the emergency PPKM regulations and was sentenced to pay a fine of Rp. 100,000 or imprisonment for 3 days if he did not pay," he said, quoted by Antara, Monday, July 19.

Meanwhile, the Regent of Cianjur, Herman Suherman, said that he had ordered the Cianjur Regional Inspectorate (Irda) to summon ASN education personnel who violated the emergency PPKM rules by holding his son's wedding reception, to be given disciplinary sanctions.

"The ASN will undergo disciplinary sanctions because during an emergency PPKM, the ASN should set a good example, not commit a violation. After the trial at the Cianjur District Court, the person concerned will undergo disciplinary sanctions as an ASN," he said.

Herman hopes that there will be no more ASN in the Cianjur Regency Government, making the same mistake, the apparatus should be a good example for residents around where they live, including being an extension of the implementation of government regulations.

It was previously reported that an ASN education staff in Cibeber District held a wedding reception for his son on a large scale like a wedding reception before the pandemic, so the local task force was dismissed.
