Deputy Chamber Of Commerce And Industry: Lighten The Government's Burden, Companies Must Be Able To Take The Mutual Cooperation Vaccination Option
JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of Kadin for International Relations Shinta Kamdani appealed to companies capable of participating in the Mutual Cooperation Vaccination Program to help reduce the government's burden in handling COVID-19.
"On this occasion, we also want to urge companies that can afford to take the Mutual Cooperation Vaccination option to ease the burden on the government by covering the cost of vaccines for workers," Shinta said in a press conference broadcast online through the Presidential Secretariat's Youtube channel, quoted from Between, Monday 19 July.
Shinta said the arrival of 1,184,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine produced by Sinopharm, Monday afternoon, brought hope that the pandemic could be overcome soon. The million doses of vaccine are part of the vaccine supply contract between Kimia Farma and Sinopharm of 15 million doses of vaccine for the needs of Mutual Cooperation Vaccination.
"The arrival of Sinopharm vaccine to fulfill vaccinations for workers and employees today as many as 1.1 million doses, besides also raising hope, also ensures that vaccine stocks for companies are safe. So companies that have registered can immediately vaccinate," he said.
Shinta said that Kadin as an entrepreneur organization did not remain silent in the midst of this difficult pandemic. Not only through Mutual Cooperation Vaccination, Kadin also supports Kimia Farma to be able to carry out vaccinations for workers with companies paying independently and providing vaccinations to workers and their families.
Shinta said the commitment to reduce the burden on the government was also realized by Kadin through the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's War Against Pandemic Program.
"Because of course Indonesia is not in a good condition. Currently we are facing various battles. Apart from vaccination, it is also to be able to prepare self-isolation facilities for the community as well as prepare medical equipment and medicines," he said
Kadin together with GoTo and Samator Group have initiated the Gotong Royong Oxygen House facility, a health facility equipped with facilities for treatment and oxygen supply for patients in need. The Gotong Royong Oxygen House is part of the efforts to deal with COVID-19 carried out by the private sector.
"Kadin fully supports the government's steps and policies in handling COVID-19, including Emergency PPKM, as a form of mutual cooperation in fighting this pandemic. This is all our endeavor to help the community during the pandemic and Kadin is confident that with our common struggle, we can rise and overcome this health crisis," said Shinta Kamdani.
