JAKARTA - House of Representatives Commission I member Alimin Abdullah assessed that during the pandemic, people were forced to be able to use technology and information at this time. Moreover, on the internet, many positive things can be obtained.

"The reality now is that there are also many who are not negative, which are detrimental, as digital users, so hopefully that is expected by using this wisely," said Alimin in a discussion initiated by BAKTI Kominfo entitled "Social Media Wise in the Digital Era", quoted Friday 16 July.

He said that currently students from elementary to remote areas must also be able to access the internet. Therefore, the use of the internet and this technology should be utilized as well as possible.

"Otherwise, he can't keep up with education and technological advancements, let alone information issues," he said.

Regarding this, public relations expert Widodo Muktiyo said during a pandemic, people should sort out information. The community must also start to be able to apply digital literacy.

"Technology has no ethics, technology is essentially a tool that we use, which provides our own value, so we don't want to be dominated by technology later, we must use technology as a tool to educate us," he said.
