Baznas Hands Over 700 Oxygen Cylinders To West Java Provincial Government, Received Directly By Ridwan Kamil
JABAR - The West Java Provincial Government received 700 oxygen cylinders from the West Java National Amil Zakat Agency (Baznas) and PT Abyro Multitecno Cemerlang.
The assistance was received directly by the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil at the PT Migas Hulu Jabar Office in Bandung City, Wednesday, July 14. After receiving the aid, the oxygen cylinders were immediately distributed to the district/city oxygen post in West Java.
Kang Emil, as Ridwan Kamil is known, said the West Java Provincial Government continues to strive to meet oxygen needs, especially in hospitals.
The West Java Provincial Government has also assigned two Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD), PT Jasa Sarana and PT Migas Hulu Jabar, to ensure oxygen distribution goes well.
"Our division of tasks is carried out by the West Java Provincial Government. We have assigned two BUMDs, PT Jasa Sarana, both of which own this place, PT Migas Hulu Jabar, to take care of A to Z 'supply-demand' oxygen in West Java," said Ridwan Kamil as quoted by Antara.
From the supply side, the West Java Provincial Government is intensely looking for oxygen producers in Indonesia. There are already several State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN), such as PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk, Pertamina, and PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang, which are committed to delivering oxygen to West Java.
In addition, the West Java Provincial Government also received assistance in the form of 1,500 oxygen cylinders from Singapore. This assistance is important considering the difficulty of finding a company that produces oxygen cylinders.
"Yesterday I just returned from Sumatra, to ask for commitment from companies in Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi. I also sought help by contacting my old friends in Singapore. Alhamdulillah, on Thursday 1,500 cylinders will come from Singapore as a result of direct approach to them, " he said.
The need for oxygen cylinders continues to increase. Not only in hospitals, but many COVID-19 patients who are self-isolating need oxygen cylinders.
"The Secretary of State has calculated the balance of oxygen demand in West Java, which is normally normal, is currently increasing many times so that we have a deficit per day of up to 300 tons. Therefore, our strategy is divided into two. neighboring countries. Because of what? because there were a lot of people who died due to low saturation and lack of oxygen cylinders," he said.
