Deputy Minister Of Energy And Mineral Resources Targets EBT To Help Government Achieve Investment Target Of IDR 2,200 Trillion
JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Yuliot Tanjung is targeting the new renewable and energy conservation sector (EBTKE) to assist the government in achieving an investment target of IDR 1,900 trillion-IDR 2,200 trillion.
"The government in 2025, for its investment target, will reach Rp1,900 trillion", Rp2,200 trillion. Of course we have to encourage more investment in the EBTKE sector," Yuliot said at the EBTKE Performance Appreciation Night in Jakarta, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, December 17.
Moreover, energy resilience is one of the government's priorities. Therefore, Yuliot said, it is time for the government to provide as many opportunities as possible for business actors, both state-owned and private, to contribute to the energy sector.
On this occasion, Yuliot brought up the potential for new and renewable energy owned by Indonesia, both from water, geothermal, to crude palm oil (CPO).
"We must transform this into activities that contribute to the economy. We cannot contribute to the economy without investment activities in the EBTKE sector," said Yuliot.
Yuliot said that realizing the investment target is important to achieve economic growth of around 8 percent, as targeted by President Prabowo Subianto's administration.
Previously, the Director General of New Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (EBTKE) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Eniya Listiani Dewi, reported that investment realization for the new renewable energy sub-sector and energy conservation (EBTKE) reached 1.49 billion US dollars or Rp. 24.03 trillion (exchange rate of Rp. 16,125 per US dollar).

Eniya also explained that the EBTKE sector succeeded in creating new jobs of 13,200 green jobs or environmentally friendly jobs.
Eniya said that this achievement could not be separated from the contribution of debottlenecking regulations in the field of domestic component level (TKDN).
The adjustment of regulations related to TKDN is an enabler or that allows a number of geothermal power generation projects (PLTP) to be implemented.
