Acting Governor Opens Door Pramono-Rano Discussion Of The DKI Provincial Government's Transition Ahead Of The Inauguration

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Teguh Setyabudi invited Jakarta Governor-Deputy Governor Pramono Anung-Rano Karno to get the most votes in the 2024 Pilkada to visit DKI Jakarta City Hall before the inauguration.

Teguh opened the door to Pramono-Rano to discuss the preparations for the leadership of the winning candidate pair for the Jakarta gubernatorial election so that the transition period runs smoothly.

"We congratulate the elected governor and deputy governor on the trust of the people of DKI Jakarta. While waiting for the official decision from the KPU later, we will try to communicate how there may be messages to us for the transition period," said Teguh at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday, December 17.

Teguh admitted that his position as Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta has the task of making it easier for the Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta to change in the future to run smoothly, as well as aligning the existing DKI Provincial Government program with the new leadership program, to the central government.

However, Teguh is still waiting for the official decision of the DKI Jakarta General Election Commission (KPU) to appoint Pramono-Rano as the elected Governor-Deputy Governor of Jakarta in the 2024 Pilkada.

"We happen to be good with all the candidates, good with the relationship. So, no problem, if we meet, there will be no problem. But we'll see later, right now it hasn't been (determined by the KPU)," explained Teguh.

For information, the DKI Jakarta KPU determined that the Pramono-Rano pair won 2,183,239 votes or 50.07 percent of the total voters were valid, while Ridwan Kamil-Suswono won 1,718,160 or 39.4 percent and Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana won 10.53 percent of the votes.

Considering that there is no lawsuit against the results of the Jakarta gubernatorial election submitted to the KPU Constitutional Court (MK) will determine Pramono-Rano as the elected candidate pair.

Some time ago, Pramono admitted that he had prepared a transition team to facilitate his leadership in Jakarta. The goal is to realize all political promises made during the campaign period.

"There is a transition team that will work to prepare something. As soon as February 7 is inaugurated, I will make sure to work according to what I conveyed to the media and the public at that time," said Pramono, Saturday, December 14, 2024.

Pramono stated that his transition team was people who also helped formulate the visions, missions, and programs promised during the election period.

"What is clear is that the people who helped me prepare the program yesterday, then also prepared the socialized things, including spending on problems in the field, that's what will help," said Pramono.
