Criticism Of Israel's Population In Syria, Commander Of Iran's Revolutionary Guard: Zionist Will Pay Mahal

JAKARTA - Iran's Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) Commander Major General Hossein Salami strongly criticized the Syrian occupation by Israel, saying it would be free by the younger generation and Zionists would pay dearly.

Speech at a cultural ceremony in Tehran on Sunday, Major General Salami likened foreign powers to "hungries" trying to tear Syria apart like deer left alone in the wild.

The Zionist torn apart southern Syria, while the other side separates its north and east, while the Syrian people who are confused face an obscure future, Major General Salami said, quoted from Tasnim December 15.

Condemning Israel's occupation of Syrian territory, he said tolerable Zionists could see inside Damascus's homes with naked eyes.

Stressing the need to fight the Israeli regime, Major General Salami echoed the latest statement by Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the territory that has been captured in Syria will be released by a brave Syrian youth with the grace of God.

"The Zionists will pay a heavy price. They will be buried in the land, but it will take time," he explained.

According to Major General Salami, developments in Syria are "difficult ranks" that must be taken into account along with other main historical examples.

Israel has seized territory in a Syrian-controlled area in the Golan Heights, carrying out attacks on hundreds of targets across Syria following the fall of President Bashar al-Assad's rule on December 8.
