45 Hynes White Wednesday' Opens Voice After Rumors Of Sexual Harassment
JAKARTA - Alapi Hynes White opened his voice for the first time after his name was mentioned in a sexual harassment case. He considered the rumors that called his name a campaign of misinformation by a group of people.
"At the beginning of this year, I saw a campaign of misinformation about me online. Because of this, my family received threats and my friends received death threats," Hynes White wrote via her social media.
"My photos when my minors were used and my acting was made with hate messages. My friend Jane was considered a victim and the efforts she made to inform everyone were ignored. He allowed me to include his name in this message," he said.
The Wednesday star did not mention what rumors were meant but he stated that all the rumors circulating were fake.
Rumor is fake. I can't accept my depiction as a fanatic, or criminally negligent about people's safety. This is a baseless and dangerous claim that can lead to distrust of the victim. It's sad to know that this misinformation has irritated people," he continued.
"I thank the people who defended and helped me share the facts. Intimidation to my family, friends and colleagues must be stopped. Thank you for having time to read this," he said closing the message.
In mid-January, a Twitter user admitted to being a victim of Hynes White at a party in Toronto. This Twitter user revealed not only one but there were several victims.
He wrote that the actor and his friends held parties and provided drugs and alcohol for underage women to be able to have sex with them. The tweet was deleted after his tweet went viral.
"He (Percy) manipulated my 16-year-old friend to go in touch with him and told me to let my friend," he wrote again.
"Thank you! Yes, since Wednesday was released, I tried to tell fans because I knew young fans really fell in love with popular men," he said.
This made fans of the Wednesday series ask the production side not to include Hynes White in the series. It is known that this series is confirmed to continue into a second season.
45 Hynes White plays Xavier Thorpe in the Wednesday series. His character is considered important because he is told to have a love story with the main character, Wednesday Addams, played by Jenna Ortega.
