JAKARTA - Japan's automotive company, Honda, has released the Honda Driving Coaching smartphone application, which is useful for helping improve new driver skills.
The Honda Driver Coaching application was created with the "Safety for Everyone" approach, which has long been carried out by the company as Honda's commitment to improving road user safety.
Honda embeds on this application exclusive access to vehicle onboard computers to provide a detailed driving analysis in real time with fun and interesting components.
Reported by Honda's official website, Monday, June 5, this application is also expected to reduce the risk of accidents causing death. In traffic cases in the US, for example, a third of the total cases involve drivers under the age of 25.
Honda Driver Coaching is quite compatible with many Honda and Acura models with the Apple CarPlay system that allows users to develop their driving style.
Models that use Apple CarPlay compatible with Honda Driver Coaching are Civic (2019-2020), Accord (2018-2020 and 2023 or later), HRV (2023 or newest), CR-V (2020 or latest), Insight (2018), Pilot (2018-2022), and Acura Integra (2023 or the latest).
With this program, Honda hopes to achieve zero deaths due to traffic collisions involving motorcycles and Honda cars globally by 2050.
In addition to the application, the manufacturer has also operated two hit test facilities that are claimed to be the most advanced in the world, located in Ohio and Japan. This is also a form of Honda's responsibility as a road user safety pioneer.
