This number has doubled compared to the same day with an average of around 14,000 passengers per day for Wednesday and Thursday at normal times.

All users of long-distance train services that will depart from Pasar Senen and Gambir stations are advised to pay attention to their departure schedules, bearing in mind that starting Thursday 1 June 2023 the new Train Travel Chart (GAPEKA) will be enforced throughout Indonesia, including for train operations in working areas. KAI Daop 1 Jakarta.

Kahumas KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Eva Chairunisa explained that there were several changes from the previous GAPEKA. These include shorter travel times, an increase in the number of train trips and boarding services for a number of trains that can already be made via Jatinegara Station as an alternative departure station for Jakarta residents besides Gambir Station and Pasar Senen Station.

A number of KAJJ schedules for both departure and arrival will also experience changes starting June 1, 2023.

KAI Daop 1 Jakarta urges train customers who have purchased tickets for departures on June 1 and thereafter to re-check their departure schedule so they don't get left behind or get on the wrong train.

"As an example, the Gumarang train from Pasarsenen - Surabaya Pasarturi relation, which originally departed from Pasarsenen Station at 15.50 WIB, starting June 1 2023 will depart at 20.45 WIB," said Eva in a written statement, Wednesday, May 31.

Customers who arrive at the departure station should always pay attention to the announcements made by the Station Officer.

All prospective KAJJ users are also advised to arrange their departure time to the station so that it is expected to arrive 1 hour before the train's scheduled departure to avoid a number of risks, one of which is being late for boarding or missing the train.

The implementation of the new GAPEKA also provides a number of benefits that customers can immediately feel, such as efficiency in travel time for Long Distance Trains (KAJJ) departing from Gambir Station and Pasar Senen Station.

For the Daop 1 area of Jakarta, Gapeka 2023 provides an acceleration of the long-distance train travel time of a total of 2,512 minutes per day. In detail, efficiency is 880 minutes on the Argo train, 585 minutes on the Executive train, 648 on the Mixed Executive train, and 399 minutes on the Economy train.

One of the trains experiencing an accelerated travel time is the Argo Lawu train on the Gambir-Solobalapan link, which has a shorter journey of 49 minutes, from the previous 7 hours 44 minutes to 6 hours 55 minutes.

There is also the Fajar Utama Solo train with the Pasarsenen-Solobalapan connection, which is 50 minutes shorter, from the previous 8 hours 30 minutes to 7 hours 40 minutes.

In Gapeka 2023 there will be 4 additional new KAJJ trips for the Daop 1 Jakarta area, bringing the total trips to 144 trains.

The following is a list of the 4 new KAJJ that will start operating when the new Gapeka takes effect on 1 June 2023:
